♡ Because You're different doesn't make you less than
♡ Kwakus lesson after his parents told him not to be baptized.
The spirit was so intensely strong as we watched it work through us and in Him. He knows the answer and has received multiple witnesses. I too received a witness again that this is Christs church, that Joseph Smith fought opposition for the Savior so he could restore His church. Because of that we have the priesthood and a prophet that holds all the keys that make it possible for covenants to be made and for us to have access to Christs redeeming power. Salvation is obtainable thru these keys that allow baptism to be done with Gods power. I know this to be true. I know I have access to Christs power and that I will return to my family one day as I stay faithful. This is His church. This is the only church that will bless us into the eternities. I gained yet another witness of this thru Jesus Christs spirit during our lesson as we testified today. " I knew it, and I knew God knew it." Our choice to serve diligently and faithfully or to not serve diligently and faithfully affects the salvations of others. We left kwaku with Bill Carpenter story. " You can either accept your parents’ wishes and say you love them for this life or you can go against their wishes and be baptized telling them you love them for eternity"
There is no other way to Joy, to salvation, to God. I know these things. I feel it with every fiber of my being.
Hard to even know where to begin about this week. Pday we did some service for a garden and we're carrying cinder blocks, pallets and tarring up pipes. Was on my deathbed after 3 hours my arms were absolutely quaking. Got to spend a good chunk of time with my queen Sister Jacobson. Switched up for tvs and I went to Madison Lake with sister Thomas. Sister Thomas is not the same sister Thomas as my first stl. This is a new sister Thomas. She is also really sweet but pretty timid. We had a wonderful day filled with miracles. We had a really cool time knocking where we taught some lessons on the doorstep. It was a real treat today to get to knock, I've missed it. Sister Thomas was really excited about finding new friends they haven't really been able to, so it was cool to see her light up and gain new hope. We switched back and then switched again. Haha straight to another TV with sister Peterson at osu!! Those switches are deadly. However, we had a hoot of a time. We taught some really cool lessons today. Elijah was first and he loved the plan of Salvation. You could almost see this weight lifted off of him. It was very unique. After we taught our king Leondrae the Restoration again and it was immensely powerful. He is all prepared for his baptism!!!! Woohooo!
We had another heartbreaking call with Kwaku, he told us he can't meet anymore. We prosed campus and found some amazing people!!! It was fun to teach people and really focus on who we needed to invite.
One girl we lost her number and ran after her for about 10 minutes but couldn’t find her again ahhhhhh. So sad. On our way to Columbus State we also found this cutiepie woman who was so excited. Thursday was zone conference!!!! It was absolutely bussin got to see some of my queens such as queen Haslam, Heaton, and Jacobson, I'm obsessed with them. But also just everyone else. It was a great zone conference I was really inspired and soaked up the spirit. After we enjoyed a lesson with Nico and invited him to become a member of Christs church and of course he said yes!!! So slay absolutely bussing. Friday was so stressful but also A miracle. Both Leondrae and Jibriyl passed their baptismal interviews and then Leondrae bore his testimony to one of our friends!!! He's an absolute gem. Never taught two cooler people. Watched some volleyball go crazy for ysa. Saturday, we went out with a member who's a whole queen preparing for a mission to Chile. Got to watch Owen be baptized and then teach his nonmember family, some friends, and some members the Restoration. Bussing. Went on campus at night and it lowkey was cracked. We went hard and taught so many lessons! Although it was crazy to see everyone drinking and partying. It's absolutely foul to watch college men clap at women and be nasty. However, we spread joy and the good news everywhere. It was wonderful especially because I was absolutely zonked and didn't want to, but I always fight that natural man and go out. I lowkey haven't slept all week so truly I know God has given me so much strength to carry on. No nap, I even skipped a day or two of soda, worked out every day. God is good and he provides I can promise that. Sunday was Powerful we invited our new friend love to be baptized, and she said yes!!! We also had one of our friends witness Owen get the priesthood; it was precious. Had my first member meal in awhile and it was all gluten free. Absolutely a blessing , tender mercy for sure.
♡ My heart is really full to see the Lord working through me this week. Multiple times I wasn't sure how I'd even survive, but somehow things always aligned. We saw so many tender mercies, but especially I saw God's charity, patience, and strength work in and through me. There was definitely battles, but ultimately we conquered! This is His work I know that and I'm so honored to have the opportunity to help in it.
