Welcome Home Sis. Hoyt

So Sister Hoyt didn't send a final email for her last week in her mission in Ohio. However lots of pictures were sent so I am attaching those.

It is so great to have her home. This first week has been very difficult for her. The transition from being a missionary to not being one has been super hard for her and she misses being a missionary.

She gave an amazing homecoming talk yesterday. I am also including some notes from her talk.

I tend to be able to talk alot when it comes to the gospel.

Faith and Fear cannot co-exist. One will always overpower the other.

Sometimes we need to be reminded about who we have our trust in. I have learned that with him all things are possible.  Our trust has to be centered in him.

Our Faith leads us to repentance.

A major part of repentance is change and growth and becoming.

When we come unto Christ, we will not stay the same.

The change started when he began to devour the Book Of Mormon. He came to know his Savior Jesus Christ.

We have to gain access to his atoning sacrifice and that is through covenants.

Our attention needs to be on fulfilling them (covenants) and living them. We don't make covenants to break them. We make them to keep them.

Preparation and obedience are key factors of discipleship.

OPO- opposition provides opportunity.

Opposition and trials provide heavenly experiences.

I know that during all my mission, He has been there. I just needed to open my eyes and recognize His hand in our lives.

I know that this is Jesus Christ's kingdom on earth today. This is his church that the prophet Joseph Smith restored. He was an instrument in allowing us to truly know the gift of Jesus Christ. He restored the doctrine of Jesus Christ we did not have. We all can have a witness if we read the Book Of Mormon, it truly is the word of God. It will lead us closer to Jesus Christ. He is reaching out to you. 3 Nephi Chapter 11 is for all of us. Come. Read. Listen to the prophets. Come to church and come to know you can become perfected through Him. We can only do that by living the doctrine of the gospel.
