Nov 25th 2024

So you all are about to dive in deep to my life!!

The last two weeks have been filled with lots of highs and lows

Highs of Highs and lows of lows

  • Interviews were wonderful. I got a grandOle 45 minutes with president. Wowza, yikes that's how people know something is up, but really played it off and ate my feelings away with a Culver's kids meal πŸ˜Ž  chocolate custard with salted Carmel goes crazy
  • The mission leadership council was Divine. Here's some gem thoughts

the lord shows up with his missionaries

behold others fully, love deeply and without expectations

 the lord has compassion Ether

  • Zone conference was absolutely life changing due to sister Heaton and the spirit.

Ether 6 is unreal. How can I commend myself into the lords’ hands?

above or below we have light bcuz Jesus ⭐️

 peace amongst chaos

 he makes it enough

 fabric of our beings?

not bcuz I'm capable but bcuz he is

one day this will all be over and I will look back longing wishing to experience it again. The struggles that brought miracles, the long cold days that brought fulfilment to my purpose and warmth to my very soul. Don't miss the majesty of THIS moment. Catch the vision. Forget yourself and go to work, loose yourself and find yourself in HIM. Go home found in Christ. Go home different- be who Christ needs me to be. Be someone you'd be grateful for. Be grateful and get outside yourself. Look up. Look beyond. Lean and lock

  • TEMPLE ×2  round 1 with Jibrily and Leondrae was absolutely precious. They got to baptize us and members and some youth!!! They loved it. It brought an extreme amount of joy to me.

Round 2 was the endowment after a really, really bad day. Sweet president insisted we go. Well, I found absolutely divine revelation in there with sweet words of comfort and reassurance in the scriptures. Small tears definitely escaped my eyes just a bit as I marveled at HIS mercy and love. Letters personally just for me from the scriptures always change me.

  • Our sweet friends are doing amazing. We are Helping Love lock back in for baptism. Nico is still cooking. Elijah about the same. Bobby and Eddie are getting baptized on the 7th. Tobi is reading and praying
  • We had 8 new friends come to church these last two weeks.
  • Found Charles at sheetz (Gas station) Who two hours previously prayed to know what church He should go to. well, He came, loved it, and wants to be baptized. God bless the bevy
  • Ariel referred herself by calling the temple. Met her, she was taught two years ago and now is ready to be baptized, invited her right away πŸ”’
  • Lots of members came out on campus with us which is always fun
  • Found many cool people one specifically Is Kelsea and Tania. They definitely will be baptized
  • Got ET due to a sister going home, And changes being made to areas so I'm now with sister Morgan who is a queen. She is currently healing my soul in ways I couldn't imagine
  • Got to eat dinner with the mission president and cuddle their dogs
  • Made a social media ad πŸ’€
  • Shattered my blender and smoothie content
  • Found out one of my sisters are going home at the end of this transfer
  • Had the most Amazing Personal studies and found so much peace in the scriptures

Nov 11 2024

Monday- Sister Reynolds was a wreck( her words not mine she approved this) lots of tears, lots of calls with president. Pretty wild. Treated ourselves to Culver's kids meal

 * 6 dollars for a whole deluxe cheeseburger, fries, a soda, and an ice cream with a topping actually a steal.

Tuesday- Pbz craziness

An absolutely deadly day on campus- so windy and cold everyone was in a foul mood. The nasty looks and laughs went crazy. President called and gave us pbz doc(Doctrine) I feel special this has happened a lot on the mission. Institute was a real treat perusal I really enjoy it. Elijah came and he always cracks me up with his comments. Hard to put him into words but he's a gem. Nico came as Always- literally I'm this close to shoving him into the water. Went and got tacos with sister Jacobson my Queeeen. Ate a grossly amount of chips and salsa

Wednesday-

Lots of wonderful lessons. Jibriyl is doing wonderful, we just had a cute check in. Slapped down on a new friend named Hans. Tryna decide if he's a little sus towards us or not. Hard to say but we had a powerful restoration lesson. At the end he was like I believe; I believe this book is true. Pretty wild one might say. Another wonderful lesson with Bobby where I want to pull my hair and bang my head against the table. He still won't pick a baptismal date because “God needs to tell me a specific day”. I'm ready to just shove him in with Jill on Saturday. He's literally so elect and prepared and already a member. Has been to church a thousand times. Knows the lingo, has read the b.o.m all the way through, loves it. God's timing I suppose. The lesson was powerful however. I have really enjoyed our personalized lessons. God is really taking over them. Had fun getting Ignored on high street but found some mildly interested people. Had an absolute amazing lesson with Elijah. He warms my soul. Went through the interview questions and he's locked, we just need to get him a job so he can move out. Pray, pray, pray. I’ve never met a more wholesome person who has gone through so much.

Thursday- BRUTAL AND HUMBLING

Today was a tough pill to swallow. Think I gagged, choked, maybe even threw up the pill kinda day. People were really unopen today to the gospel. Absolutely got destroyed but it's okay hahahahah. πŸ’€πŸ˜…πŸ« went out with members and found absolutely no one for hours until the end. some white jocks ended up being lit. Ended the night with a wonderful institute class.

Friday- helped a lady move, campus went crazy today! Everyone at volleyball was cracking me up. Our friends are too funny.

Honestly the weekend is kind of a blur. Lots of calls. Jill's baptism was beautiful. I got to be a witness. Bobby picked a baptismal date woohoo. Then Eddie accepted a baptismal invitation. Kind of wild. Had a smack down in relief society. The spirit really taught me. “HIS hand ready to help us” a bussing conference talk…

Just as I thought my adventure on the earth might be coming to an end, I felt a hand pulling me towards the surface. Finally, I could see the sun and catch my breath.

He persisted, even if that required rescuing me twice. He persisted, even if I could not get it at first. He persisted so I could overcome that challenge and succeed. If we think celestial, we will realize that our Savior will be there as many times as necessary to provide help if we want to learn, change, overcome, cope, or succeed in whatever will bring true and everlasting happiness to our lives.

D&C 121  all these things shall give you experience

  • Those sum up my lesson I learned this week and the revelation I received. Maybe perchance I'm drowning but I'm getting glimpses of sunshine and know His hand is there

Then I read 1 Nephi 15

27 And I said unto them that the water which my father saw was filthiness; and so much was his mind swallowed up in other things that he beheld not the filthiness of the water.

  • Okay so literally Nephi could really have focused on all the bad, poor decisions, foul things his brothers were doing but, however he indeed didn't and focused on the better part. Joy is all about where your focus is. Have gratitude, think celestial of others, focus on the tree!! !!!

That is how I'd describe My week

Nov 4 2024

Fowl and wonderful all at once

Tuesday was a unique day with Hermana Dominguez at Osu!!! We had quite the experience on Columbus State finding lots of fun new friends and teaching mini lessons. We ended our time there teaching Rex someone we approached who then we sat down with and taught him about the Restoration. He was wonderful. After we grubbed up on some GF chinese food and listened to a BYU devotional at institute. It was exactly what i needed. Some thoughts from it:

You bring it to God and you leave it alone

5 loaves and 2 fish bring what you have and give it up to God

-it is not your job to feed the 5 thousand only to provide the loaves and fish

- It doesn’t matter if you bring 7 loaves and 3 fishes

We get caught up trying to bring more loaves and fishes we miss the miracles

Give what I have, what I am

I have to get to the point that I don’t care

A joy knowing it doesn’t matter because I trust God

After we went back to Columbus State to teach Jason. He really was a wild card today. Just very off and then Jibriyl joins the lesson abruptly causing Jason to be even more weird. Had a wonderful time teaching the gospel with Jibrily after the lesson on campus. He cracks me up. He’s made his Instagram his personal number and uses it too text people about activities and church. Wednesday was a wonderful time at district council- we made our own title of liberties. Our whys for being out here and our purpose. I needed that today. Had a fun little lesson with Love. She is an absolute gem who is so sweet. Elijah we pounded into about reading and praying. " get your reps in"

Thursday healed my soul. I spent Halloween with my queen sister Jacobson. We went crazy at Columbus State followed by a cute lesson with a lady named Biney who was found on Tuesday. She was very open and willing to give us some time. We also had a fun lesson with Leondrae. He cracks me up so bad. We went over lesson 4 which I gave a training on Wednesday during district council so it was perfect timing. We then hit campus up with a member and got some crazy rejections. Everyone was a bit crazy on Halloween.

Then we had a few miracles with a member named Garrett. We taught some full lessons just out on the streets. It was wonderful. Ended the night with some homemade alfredo and bro Squadding at sis Jacobson’s apartment. Healing day. Friday was pretty crazy. We had an interesting lesson that led to my companion and our ward mission leader getting into it. I did indeed try and interject but no luck. Well, it turned into some crazy things that we will not dwell on. Ended up going out and I was crazy motivated and ended up teaching a very passionate full Restoration to some king named Adrien. Who then cried and expressed how much he needed that. He is a king.

Found a gem that use to go to the church in Florida! Then a member named Gavin came out!!! We taught lots of wonderful meaningful lessons. Ended with soccer and lots of friends there!!! It was so fun to see love, Sabina, Sabi, tobi, meka, kaiesha. You’re probably wondering who is Meka and Kaisha. Well, they are our two newest friends on date!!!! Woohoo they showed up. We had an amazing lesson which led to us inviting them to be baptized. A bit wild but hey sometimes you gotta invite on that first lesson. Lots of miracles and I’m honestly just astonished. Then a ward member had a crazy soccer accident and had a huge gauge right above his eye and he ran out gushing blood so future nurse Hoyt jumped into action. It was actually way fun for me.

Saturday got a wee bit crazy. We had some fun times proselyting. Had a good time teaching Tobi and Cirilo. Lots of phone calls that are actually the most deadly thing because they zonk me out. Had a really hard lesson with Love who lost her job and didn’t have money for food. Had a really emotional lesson and then did a quick little trip to the store and left a little secret drop off of food. My heart was pretty achey after that. When friends hurt I really struggle.

Well, then the Ap’s called us and we had an uncomfy talk about a sister who’s really struggling and then our Zone leaders who have a deep dislike for us. Although the Ap’s really validated us and left feeling somewhat better.. hard to say. More church calls and then a quick McDonald’s fries run which was inspired because we met our friend Wislain. Who then pulled to church ;)

Sunday rolled around and the story of Mormon has hit me deeper than before. Like Mormon, I for a minute wasn’t having a lot of hope for some of the things going on around me and people, but by the end of Mormons life he tells his son Moroni. Although I’ve just told you I didn’t have faith and I didn’t have hope -Mormon 3:11-12, Mormon 5:2

I’ve come to tell you now my faith and hope isn’t in these people but is in Christ who has already won! Moroni 9: 25-26 my faith is in my Savior Jesus Christ and His promises to make all things consecrated for my good. The hard and bad can be turned into growth, light, knowledge with/ by faith in Jesus Christ. He is my hope for brighter days ahead.

We had 10 wonderful friends come to church! All of our recent converts came, and best of all we got to witness Leondrae get the Aaronic priesthood- then watch him pass the sacrament. Oh the joy! God is good.

Then we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at 7 to break our fast. I didn’t know if I could make it but I did. The day before I might have forgotten to drink water so by this point I was absolutely dehydrated, maybe a little delirious, ready to pass out. There might have been some deadly tears the last two days so the whopping headache was also pretty fowl by this point.

Oct 25th 2024

Elijah is a gem and is an elect soul who's ready to be baptized along with Nico, Bobby, and love

Cirlio and his friend Kevin need to be invited this week to be baptized

even as I am by maxwell is the best book besides the b.o.m I've ever read. I borrowed it from the library and will now be purchasing one ASAP. I highly recommend.

  • Striving to become like Him is a special way of bearing, and sharing our testimony of Him
  • But sincere followership of the living God- who urges us to be like Him in love, justice, kindness, mercy, and purity- can redeem both the individual and mankind.
  • Jesus Christ is our only constant and without him we couldn't bare this life. Monday we had a good little Harry Potter family home evening activity. Our friends loved it!!! We had a good little switch up for tvs and I headed to Madison Lake again, but with sister Coonce. We had a long day. This was day three without a soda. Pretty brutal. We had some good success with teaching some new friends. Got forced into eating an egg salad sandwich but wrapped in a weird see through wrap that you soak into water and it becomes flexible and chewy. There was some tears swallowed with each bite. As day 4 settled in without a bevy I was on my death bed. I think the withdrawals began to hit.
  • Had a spirit filled district council followed by a lesson with our new Muslim friend named Ibrahim. He is a king! Very interested and opened. We had Celeste with us and Jibriyl our recent convert was on campus "just sharing the gospel" and decided to join us as well. Jibriyl then proceeded for another hour to share the gospel on campus and testify to anyone we found. He is an absolute dawg. I ran into my friend Taylor again who I met on tvs awhile back. She decided she wanted to enter into a covenantal relationship, so we put together a calendar :)) after all the yapping we needed food.. about 10 minutes in and this fella walks in and says I want to become a member of this church….. choked on some tortilla and jumped up…. So basically, he was meeting with missionaries two years ago and knew it was true but felt it wasn't his time, he's been reading the b.o.m ever since and decided today was the day to walk back in and try again.

You could say this is what every missionary prays for. God is truly providing so many miracles and is continuously working on his children. Bobby is a real gem who is ready :)))) gave me hope that my friend Kwaku will do that one day down the road. Leo our other king came, and we did a quick little lesson, and he is so so, cool. We will invite him to baptism next lesson.

Snuck over to loves and taught her the psal (plan of salvation). She ate it up and makes me laugh so hard. She was very against the idea that she signed up for this life. We zoomed back for Elijah and he is READY. He will be moving out of his house so he can be baptized!!! His girlfriend lives with him and his parents, and he decided the best option was for him to leave. Elijah truly has sacrificed everything to follow Jesus Christ. He's inspiring! We caught up with Jibrily and had a good chat about the priesthood.

Switched for tvs and me and sister Knudsen went to OSU wooohooo!!! We really had a hoot teaching and finding together. I got humbled in front of A huge crowd after deciding to be bold and invite the whole line to church…..I  will not be doing that again. Between the dead silence, the no’s, and the stares I think collectively it was not a hit. Ended the night with a good institute class.

Welcome Home Sis. Hoyt

So Sister Hoyt didn't send a final email for her last week in her mission in Ohio. However lots of pictures were sent so I am attachin...
