Bingo bongo what's your Combo
Cutting you down to build you up
Tuesday: no Bueno
All lessons were canceled. We had intense rain but weren't in the tornadoes and hail part of Ohio. Kailyn decided she didn't want to be baptized. Lots of personal prayers and reflection today.
Wednesday: God's aware
Emotionally hit with a bus but nonetheless God is good. District council was very good other than it felt like a personal attack. My king zone leader who has been my zone leader my entire mission happened to be there. Of course because whenever I need a blessing he happens to be on a training visit. So I cashed one in and it was quite the experience. God really said I'm cutting you down to build you up. My face 😭 to 🫢😮
Como???? Can I say pass? Literally the definition of kicking you whIle you're down. But don't worry I'm just gonna be mega strong, cracked out, unquaking, unwavering. We slayed the day after with some Wendy's biggie bag as fuel. Had a slay lesson with Burnedette. Sweet lady literally had no words about 3 nephi 11. Astonished. About became More Astonished over the fact we have a prophet speaking this weekend. I was all like mhmm mhmmm. Got soggy wet in the rain and hail for an hour, found one person. It was kind of a mysterious vibe, like main character Energy.
Thursday: God wasn't done cutting
So the Fastest summary I can give is Antwan had a little Slip up and we found out during our visit today so we have To move his baptism back but we had to go all the way to the 20th because our ward is weird like that. That was a whole scene in itself. After we went ham finding and walked about three miles and I was in my heeled boots. It was a whole thing. We found some really cool people though and then had to run back to the car so we wouldn't be late. Feet destroyed. No one showed up to our bom study beside one sweet lady so we had a Lil lesson just with her. Then we did more knocking and found only people that spoke Persian. I've gotten wildly Good at knowing what houses are nepali and Spanish but Persian always gets me. There's no signs they're not a white cracker house. This week I have met Three houses with three languages I've never heard of in my entire life. Got Canes today and In the drive thru they go “bingo bongo whats your combo?” I kid you not I laughed for 3 minutes straight And couldn't get my order out. That poor worker I felt so bad but I literally couldn't stop. Laughed periodically throughout the door thinking of saying that everytime I knocked a door. Humor on a mission is dead. Anything makes me laugh at this point.
Friday: baptism
So nothing was glorious Until we got to Tianas house and she was a self referral! She wants to be baptized so of course we invited her and then taught her and her husband some beautiful restored truths. They were so into it! She's the cutest lady ive ever Met. Then we knocked some apartments to the ground and knocked into a sweet lady who use to meet with the missionaries but there's no dot for her. She gave us a 10 minute talk about how we need to leave before we get a knife pulled on us or shot or kidnapped, etc. It was a glorious time then as we leave she yells watch out for needles. She is our new mama bear kind of sweet. Ran Down a lady approximately 3 minutes after that speech. I might of scared her but I had to be quick she was far away. She ended up being elect. We eventually left and before we got to out next appointment we Met Michelle and her daughter. They were both so interested but her daughter was like wayyyy into it and said she had heard about us missionaries before and the church. So anywho that was awesome. Then we taught a sweet new member who is a bit lost on everything. I'm afraid there has to be some memory loss issues. But it was tender and we had a great lesson.
Saturday:
General Conference Absolutely slayed so hard today. All my questions were answered. Had a lot of friends watch it and text us they loved it! We went ham knocking and only found friends that speak different languages. After the second session the Sisters and us went knocking and absolutely went ham. We found some beautiful souls.
Sunday: Hey Mommy I love you!!!
That header is the reality of my life when I go knocking. Anywho we did a whole Bunch of calls before conference! Then we enjoyed general conference at church. we went to Judiths after she's The cutest new convert. Then we watched conference as a district. Following we grinded some knocking until a drunk Mexican dude would not leave me alone. Thus The title.
If you did not watch General Conference do it!!! It was absolutely amazing as always.
The harder weeks really make me realize how grateful I am for this mission and the trials. Although sometimes it's so hard it's so worth it. Growing my personal relationship with the savior makes it all worth it.
